Product Description: RNA Keeper-ICE is a new reagent that can transform frozen tissues into a state that is easy to handle through ordinary homogenization methods, thereby extracting high-quality RNA. It makes it unnecessary to grind the frozen tissue into a powder before homogenization and even enables further cutting of the tissue before homogenization. During treatment with the RNA Keeper-ICE solution, when it transforms the tissue from a hard frozen state to a soft state, the solution penetrates into the tissue, inactivating the RNase. Once the tissue is treated with the RNA Keeper-ICE solution, it can be manipulated at room temperature without fear of RNA degradation. Samples can be safely weighed, further cut, or subjected to a variety of experiments without affecting the quality of the RNA. The sample can be directly added to the lysis solution to break, or placed at -20°C for long-term storage.
